Inquiries enable workflows to pause and request user input before continuing, supporting approval workflows, data collection, and interactive automation. --- ## What Was Accomplished ### 1. Created Inquiry Data Transfer Objects (DTOs) **File:** `crates/api/src/dto/inquiry.rs` - **InquiryResponse**: Full inquiry details for single record retrieval - **InquirySummary**: Condensed view for list endpoints - **CreateInquiryRequest**: Request payload for creating new inquiries - **UpdateInquiryRequest**: Request payload for updating inquiries - **RespondToInquiryRequest**: Specialized payload for user responses - **InquiryQueryParams**: Query parameters with filtering and pagination **Key Features:** - Validation rules using `validator` crate - Proper serialization/deserialization - Clean conversion from domain models to DTOs ### 2. RequireAuth Import Error **Problem:** Initially imported `RequireAuth` from `crate::middleware` but it's actually in `crate::auth` **Solution:** Fixed import path to `use crate::auth::RequireAuth` ### 2. RequireAuth Structure Access **Problem:** Tried to access `user.id` directly on `RequireAuth` but it's a wrapper type **Solution:** Access through `user.0.identity_id()` method which unwraps the `AuthenticatedUser` and parses the ID ### 3. Type Inference Issues **Problem:** Compiler couldn't infer closure parameter types in iterator chains **Solution:** Used descriptive parameter names (`inquiry` instead of `i`) which helped Rust's type inference ### 4. Pagination Parameter Types **Problem:** Initially defined custom `InquiryQueryParams` with `Option` for pagination fields, inconsistent with project standard **Solution:** Used `PaginationParams` directly which has non-optional fields with defaults ### 5.
